UPSC Civil Services Final Result 2019 Live Updates: Pradeep Singh has topped the Civil Services Exam (CSE) 2019. The second rank is secured by Jatin Kishore. Pratibha Verma at Rank 3 is the highest scorer among females. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has today released the result of the Civil Services Exam (CSE) 2019 at upsc.gov.in.

A total of 829 candidates have been recommended for Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS), among other civil services.

Based on the result of the written part of the Civil Services Examination, 2019 held in September and the interviews for personality tests held in February-August, a total of 829 candidates have passed the exam. Most of the qualified candidates (304) are from the general category.

Those who have yet to check their result can follow these steps – visit upsc.gov.in or upsconline.nic.in. Click on the result link. Log-in using credentials. Result will display on the screen. Download it, and take a print out for further reference.

Standard Chartered to reduce hundreds of jobs

London-headquartered Standard Chartered has come up with a list  of several hundred employees that it plans to eliminate, and a cutback program is set to get underway. The company right now employs about 85,000 people. The statement from the bank highlights, “A small number of roles are being made redundant in line with our commitment to transforming the bank and ensuring its future competitiveness.” It further stated, “This is not the result of any impact from the COVID-19 pandemic.” Focused on markets in Asia, Africa and the Middle East, the lender has faced pressure from investors to reduce costs to improve returns to boost its share price. The bank last month underwent a radical revamp that shrunk middle management, and invested billions of dollars in improving its technology.
